DIY How To Make A Crop Top Blouse

Tools you will need

  • 1 Yard of Fabric of your choice.
  • Matching Thread
  • Lots of Push Pins
  • Scissors
  • Sewing Machine OR lot of time to Hand Sew

Tips:
Consider doing this project with a different pattern, such as jersey I can just see how the draping on that type of fabric would be so beautiful!

IF you choose to use a chiffon type fabric consider the double roll then hem method to keep fraying in check. Fold over then fold again then hem it.

Consider simple alterations to make a different top.
Sew the arms closed for a more kimono look.
Add extra inches to the length for a longer version.
Consider a “V” neckline.

DIY How To Make A Sheer Maxi Skirt

{Bracelet from Forever 21}

Tools you will need:

Material Sheer Chiffon Type 1 1/2 or two yards
Thread & Needle
Scissors
Pattern Optional or use a skirt you have as an outline
Lots of push pins
Elastic band for the top if you choose to or a zipper is another option. I pulled mine over my head to avoid both.
Sewing Machine or Lots of TIME to hand sew

Couple of tips
  • Use LOTS of pins this material moves a lot.
  • Before you cut go 1 1/12 to 2 inches away from your Dress if you choose to do this without a pattern. You need room for Ease and Sewing.
  • IF you choose to use Chiffon or a Sheer Material, consider double sewing your stitch, or running it through the sewing machine twice to keep it from fraying so badly.

How To Wear?

Think outside the box, where a slip or mini skirt that you already have in your wardrobe under the sheer skirt. Try shorts or leggings even, be brave and consider some funky tights!

DIY - Clutch Purse

The video that took me 6-7 times to upload and or render finally is posted. I lost HD for it but its so worth it. I was excited to work on this video and share the idea. One thing after another  kept going wrong and kept me from posting this up (for almost a month). I was very frustrated with:

My editing Software - Fail Roxio
You Tube - Upload Aborted or Failed
You Tube - The amount of TIME it takes to Upload a vid over 15 mins long.
My Computer - No memory ??? I have a separate hard drive for the vids!?!?
Internet Service - Timing Out / Re-Booting

The list was LONG as you can see, so I am Extremely Stocked that I finally get to share this video with you! & hopefully continue my normal routine of uploading a vid every week ...

I would recommend checking out your local stores for place mats, I would definitely check out thrift shops and even dollar stores for unique patters or materials. This project is cheap and easy, plus you can re-use something you may have just tossed or gotten rid of. At the same time you are increasing your wardrobes potential!!!

Happy DIY'ing
